History:
This Parador is located in the former Convent of Santo Domingo, founded by the Zúñigas family in the middle of the 15th Century. In this Gothic convent with Renaissance elements, the chapter house is of special note, with its singular ribbed vault ceiling and freestanding staircase, an architectural marvel.

How to get there:
Upon entering Plasencia, the Parador may be reached through the Puerta de Coria. At the end of the street we find ourselves in the Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer, where the Parador stands.
