This four star parador is beautifully set on the Santa Catalina Hill and offers spectacular views of the surrounding region. It is an Arabic fortress from the 13th century which is approximately 5 km from the town of Jaen where several points of interest are waiting to be discovered including the cathedral, Sierra Magina Nature Reserve, Ali Baths, Baeza (49 km from the hotel) and Ubeda (57 km away).
The Parador de Jaén has just 45 rooms and is a relatively small hotel. The guest rooms here are well equipped, spacious and decorated to give guests the feeling of being at home. Magnificent views are provided by nearly all the rooms.
Guests can have a drink at the hotel’s bar before visiting the excellent restaurant in which local dishes such as "Ajo Blanco" or "Pipirrana" are served. The restaurant provides great service and a welcoming atmosphere and can accommodate 82 guests.

The Parador is located on the top of the Cerro de Santa Catalina, just 5 km from the capital; the main accesses are by the N-323 main road from Bailén-Motril and the N-324 from Córdoba.
