The three star Parador de Argomaniz is a beautiful Renaissance palace standing on the plains of Alava in the Gorbea mountains next to the Ulibarri Gamboa reservoir. Near by is the small and picturesque village of Argomaniz; Vitoria which is the capital of the province with many gothic monuments and Logrono with its famous Baroque Cathedral.
The original palace was where Napoleon rested to regain his strength before attacking the town of Vitoria. The Parador de Argomaniz has the Larrea family coat of arms on its façade of the building and a spacious interior with traditional décor and wood panelling and floors.
The parador has 53 elegant guest rooms room which come well equipped to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. The restaurant serves traditional recipes including "perretxikos" (local wild mushrooms), snails and "goxua" which is a sponge cake with cream and caramel. Tasty cheeses produced in the mountains can be enjoyed with an excellent Rioja wine.

The Parador is built in a Renaissance palace, which dominates the plains of Álava. The palace boasts the Larrea family coat of arms on the façade of the building and a wonderful interior atmosphere. The Parador is easily reached from the N-1 main road Madrid-Irún, take the Km 363 turn-off and from there Argómaniz is 1 kilometre away.
